Crate and Barrel at Short Hills Mall

VISION: Renovations to the Crate and Barrel store at Short Hills Mall included several entranceways to the store from the outside. The plan called for recessed linear LED lighting to go up the side of the entranceway, over the top and back down the opposite side. Mercury Architectural Lighting was called upon to further develop this custom idea.

RESPONSE: Presented to our seasoned engineering staff, ideas and drawings were developed. Precise measurements were established. Lighting level calculations would need to be qualified so expected performance would be met. Most importantly, methods would have to be developed to enable the lighting to interact with the outdoor elements. Special gasketing and diffusers were tried and tested and approved for wet location use.

RESULT: Successful installation with all anticipated parameters met.
